Interview with Stephanie

Howdy! I am Stephanie of Stitchin' Time. I reside in Tennessee with my husband Greg and two beautiful daughters. I am a self-employed medical transcriptionist, working from home. My husband and I also run a custom embroidery/monogramming company. We just purchased our second commercial machine and also a heat press - we have a lot of requests for transfer work, and now we will be able to accommodate those requests.

I am relatively new to the embroidery world. My husband and I were on a marriage retreat with our church group and had some free time. We visited a local mall and saw a demonstration on a home embroidery machine. I was skeptical, as I don't have a sewing background, but my husband talked me into it!! We hit the ground running after that!

I began digitizing about 3 years ago. It is such a joy to be able to create a design on the computer and watch it come to life in the embroidery machine. I am constantly running design ideas through my mind!

Outside of work, we are active with our church and teach the kindergarten choir. (I don't sing well at all, but the 5 year olds do not seem to mind!) We also camp every chance we get. We have a 5th wheel, so we are not really "roughing" it, but it is such a stress reliever just to get away and enjoy God's handiwork.
