Interview with Melissa of Country Creations
Hi everyone!
I am Melissa White of Country Creations. I started my website and embroidery business in April of 2000 when I launched my website. At that time I lived in Missouri. I now reside in Prattville, Alabama with my husband, daughters Molly-8, Teresa-17 and son 14. My oldest son age 18 just graduated last weekend from Navy Boot Camp and now resides at the Nuclear Command Training Center in South Carolina.
I have always been a stay at home mom and started all this because I needed something else to do besides raise my children. I love to digitize, embroidery, sew, bead, cross stitch the hand way and cook. Since I started my business, I have found that I don't have a lot of time for much else.
Outside of the embroidery business and my kids, I am actively involved in church with the Parish Council, prison ministry and the ladies auxillary.
It is really fun and exciting to take artwork and watch it come to life. I use several sources for my designs. My sister is a quilter and does some of the artwork. I also use outside sources and purchase clipart and commercial licenses.
I recently have just started updating my website and have just launched a new quilt/project pattern line with my sister. (2 Stitchin Chicks) You can purchase these either at the Stitchery Mall or from my website. I am working on it weekly so check back frequently.
Thank you, Melissa
